 magandang gabi friends and fam i have like 3 min so ill just say a few things

im really lovin the work now and LOVE teaching w sister martin! we just get each other haha its been fun the past few days and ive already learned so much from her. Heavenly Father REALLY does answer our prayers and bless us in ways we can't even imagine. I'm so thankful for the knowledge of this gospel and my relationship with Him. 

Yesterday we were kind of just adventuring our area to places ive never been before and i wanted to talk to this nice old man and right when we walked up to him, a monkey popped out of no where haha ill send a vid and hopefully it works. 

I love all of you guys and so grateful I am here in the philippines!!

Week 11

 okay mom youre gonna hate me, but my camera died in the comp shop right before i was about to plug it in, so i cant send pics this week again hahaah IM SO SORRY.

this week has been super awesome. We extended baptism to the Panganiban family and he is POWER. we OYM'd him a month ago, and he actually lives in the elder's area, but comes to our meeting house, so President gave us permission to teach him over there. Im stoked for him, he's super humble. His wife is in Saudi Arabia for working abroad, and so he's basically a single working dad. The Lord has prepared him to receive the gospel now, so im stoked on that.

we moved apt and the apt we are in now is infested with spiders :)

Sister Marcos and I accidentally taught a "Born Again" pastor. It was almost bible bash, but not quite, i wouldn't let it get that far ;)

GENERAL CONFERENCE WAS AMAZING. I hope you all were able to watch it last week. if not heres some of my fav talks down below. 

In district council we discussed luke 5:3-11 and it was really eye opening. We can all relate to Simon and that as members of this church, sometimes we feel discouraged and feel like we aren't getting the spiritual uplift we want. by cnotinuing to press forward, we show Heavenly Father how obedient we are and our faith and trust in him. Eventually, we will receive and even notice those blessings we may not have noticed before! IF we strive to be exactly obedient to his commandments. We need to trust him, and continually endure to the end by forsaking all the things in our lives (verse 11- they forsook all and left everything to follow the Savior) that may be keeping us from obtaining the blessings that Heavenly Father has in store for us. 

Im so grateful for this gospel and for our living prophet Russel M Nelson. I LOVED GENERAL CONFERENCE. ANd i love you all tons. Take President Nelson's invitation, and if you are able to, go to the temple on a regular basis and pray to feel deeply the love Heavenly Father has for you. <3

thats what my companion has been saying every day the past two weeks because our neighbors dog loves to bark all night :) 

hello alllll sorry i am literally THE WORST at emailing. i made it my week goal to send one out since its been so long hahaha pasensya talaga. to be honest its because i lost my cord to my camera and i realized im this far on the mish and no one actually reads these things, and if they do its just the pictures they truly want hehe am i right or am i right? ;) 

SO MANY GOOD THINGS HAPPENING HERE. We have worked out booties off  and im so tired but its all paying off :')) i just wanna testify of HOW TRUE THE BOOK OF MORMON IS. We have one friend we are teaching that was born a die hard catholic. She had been keeping commitments, especially reading the book of mormon, so we were wanting to extend bap date to her. Before anything she goes "im a sure catholic, i was raised catholic, and graduated catholic school" so im here thinking "oh crap nooooooo" AND THEN she says "... but.... ive been reading the book of mormon"  then she goes "... its true," me again " YES YES YES YES"  

the spirit was super strong and really helping us lead this conversation so i said "Nay, if we were in Jesus Christ's time when he was on earth, would you join His church?" and she said yes, so then we were like "so if the church he established was on earth again, would you want to join it?" and she said "yes of course" and so we explained that THIS IS HIS CHURCH ON EARTH TODAY. and we asked her if she wanted to follow Jesus Christ's example and become a member of His church and she said yes :'))) SO EXCITED FOR HER. she is honestly power and I know that if she didnt act on our invitations to her, and if she didnt read the book of mormon, her testimony of the truth would not be there. And i think thats something we can all apply into our lives, is that we really need to act on our faith as well.

GENERAL CONFERENCE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. i invite you all to really study those talks, the spirit was so strong while watching and ah it was literally the best i didnt want it to end.

Hello all, I'm in San Jose again for zone conference, and we all had the privilege to spend our pday with President Koster today at a beach resort! haha yeah it was bitter sweet because it literally felt like i was in Hawaii- but i couldnt swim. sayong talaga

Hope you all enjoyed general conference this past weekend, if not, go watch it!! I havent been able to watch it yet because of the time difference, so im stoked for this upcoming weekend. 

I read a popular general conf talk by elder Holland again this past week and LOVED it. Being on a mission, I was able to read it at a whole new perspective. One of my fav parts says 

Please remember tomorrow, and all the days after that, that the Lord blesses those who want to improve, who accept the need for commandments and try to keep them, who cherish Christlike virtues and strive to the best of their ability to acquire them. If you stumble in that pursuit, so does everyone; the Savior is there to help you keep going. If you fall, summon His strength. Call out like Alma, “O Jesus, … have mercy on me.”7 He will help you get back up. He will help you repent, repair, fix whatever you have to fix, and keep going. Soon enough you will have the success you seek.  

This church is seriously sooo true. This gospel is true. The Book of Mormon is true. And if you really let the spirit testify these things to you, you will come to know all of this too!!!

We have no progressing investigators, so this week felt long, but ayos lang because it's all in the Lords timing!!

i dont have much time today but basically we were htbt and brt'ing a person and he had metal on his teeth that weren't braces, and i was like "is that a grill?" and he was like "whats a grill?" and so i said "ummmm... do you know snoop dog?" and they were like "smooch dog?" and basically long story short, i had to explain to them what a grill was and who snoop dog was.

In my studies this past week i read Alma 36 and shoooot so relatable. I wish i could explain all the inspiration i received, but just know, THE ATONEMENT OF JESUS CHRIST IS REAL. It not only will help us through our trials and afflictions, but it will also help us in days when we feel like we just can't do it. I've learned this the past few months and really relied on his help to get me through some rough days. Take advantage of the atonement in your life. He paid for each and every one of our sins, so don't procrastinate repentance. Repentance is truly a gift! Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and he will pick you up when you feel like you can't go on. I know this to be true -- and i wish so badly for each of you to know this for yourself!

went to a concert

This past week we had transfers, and so a few different families in the ward fed us!!! We never get fed in Mindoro. First time ive been full in months. One family we had "Lamaw" and had to scrape out coconut meat for it... HOLY COW BEST THING IVE HAD HERE. It was so delicious.

another family has a son who goes to Manila for singing competitions and he sang us a few songs. he. is. so. good. The uploading is taking a while so i cant send a vid. oh btw i think that perfect by ed sheeran is the philippines national anthem becasue it plays EVERYWHERE. 

Not much really happened this week, but I had some really good personal studies that were able to help a few people we met and taught. If you have a chance, read the article in the April 2016 Liahona called "Recognizing Satan's Counterfeits". SO GOOD.

A fav scripture this week is Mosiah 24:13-14 

13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.

we are still going to have trials in life, but Heavenly Father is there to help us and to help us carry those burdens. He is always there!! He puts us in situations where we may be able to rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ and strengthen our testimony of our Savior. 

s/o to my tennessee ward back at home for placing 115 BOM in the past 10 weeks!!!!!!! Thats insane! So proud of you all. Know that no effort is wasted.
