merry christmas ya'll

haha SO SORRY. im literally the worst in group emails now. but heres a quickie to give ya a bit of an update. 

its september and on day 1 they start celebrating christmas haha

my new comp is sis garcia!! shes such a cute human. she reminds me of my little bro ethan :') love working with her.

we had a baptism!! it was so happy. Her name is Teresa and has such a hard life but goes through it with so much faith in Jesus Christ. 

We had MTC exchanges and it was literally SO fun. I went with Sis Green from Utah and felt like i was with some of my best friends from home the whole time. 

also the other day we were passing out pass along cards inviting people to come to church the next day to all these strangers and then all of a sudden a group of them say "merienda muna kayo!" which means basically like "we have food for you guys to eat" haha actually i am so dumb idk how to explain the actual translation it sounds funny in english ANYWAYS and so they literally fed us a dinner. these people we have never met gave us a ton of food and just had us eat lol. They werent as interested in our message but, ya know, they know who we are now haha. literally if you serve in the philippines you are THE luckiest person ever. The people here are soooo nice. 

i guess ill just share something quick that i read in my studies the other day:

"Our Heavenly Father will not allow us to be tempted beyond our power to resist."

 its so simple and i never really thought much about it until now, but all of us have temptations. BUT we can overcome any of them. Heavenly Father will not let us receive a temptation we cannot overcome. Pondering over that just made me realize how lucky we really are that we all have a loving Heavenly Father that wants us to learn and is always there. 

in jacob 4:7 it says 

7 Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our ^aweakness that we may know that it is by his ^bgrace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things.  

He is literally a genius and the Creator over all. He knows what is best for us and made us in a way that we DO have temptations, which are our weaknesses, BUT He wants us to learn and know of our weaknesses so that we may be able to rely on our Savior and His Atonement. 

ahh we are so lucky and I just love Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. :')
